Homeless Prevention and Diversion Services
Families and individuals that are currently homeless or at risk of homelessness that have income are eligible for these resources. Clients that do not meet this criteria can be referred to agencies that offer the needed resources.
Emergency Assistance
Families that are experiencing a crisis may be eligible to receive the following assistance: food, clothing, rental and utility assistance, information and referral services. We have served over 40,000 individuals.
Financial Empowerment Program
Our financial literacy initiative provides the tools and information for people of all incomes to be self-sufficient with their finances. Financial Literacy is vital for an individuals’ professional and personal growth. The curriculum includes the following topics: Budgeting, Credit and Credit Cards, Debt Management and Personal Finance. We have over 400 individuals that have completed this program.
Job Readiness Program
This employment training program provides training to learn or improve basic job seeking skills and understanding employer expectations (resume preparation, interview techniques, and job retention).
Thrive Intern & Leadership Program
The THRIVE Intern and Leadership Program is a developmental program providing empowerment, education, and employment to African American teens across the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex. THRIVE Interns attend job readiness workshops, leadership and development training classes, corporate and educational field trips, and a job fair where they are interviewed and employed by companies who pay each intern at least $10 per hour for at least 20 hours per week. All THRIVE interns are also given a mentor who connects with each intern on a weekly basis and continues to remain connected after the intern’s completion of the program.
Crisis and Disaster Relief & Training Program
The Disaster training program offers training for volunteers who are interested in becoming a disaster responder. We have conducted training for over 10 volunteers who are eager to serve.
Youth and Children Educational Programs
Our educational programs are designed to empower students through tutoring and life skills. In addition, we offer community service activities to build community relations with our students.

Back 2 School Health Fair
The annual community health fair provides students with the necessities needed to ensure a successful start. Students receive free health screenings, physicals, school supplies, uniforms, haircuts and life skills workshops. We have served almost 20,000 students.
Thanksgiving Baskets
Thanksgiving dinners are provided annually to low-income families. We have served almost 13,000 individuals.
Thanksgiving Celebration
On Thanksgiving Day, we give back to the community by feeding the homeless in downtown Dallas. We have served over 55,000 women and men.
Transform Dallas
Partnership with Dallas Leadership Foundation – Celebration of Hope is a city-wide workday that allows underserved families to receive free minor and major home renovations. We have served over 2400 individuals.
